Tableau Marks Golden Jubilee with New Asia Pacific Office

Tableau Software today unveiled its new office in Singapore as the country celebrates its golden jubilee. The announcement of its new 50,000 square foot office underscores the importance of Singapore as Tableau’s regional hub.

“As Singapore takes steps to become the world’s first ‘Smart Nation’, we find that it continues to be the perfect location to expand in the region,” said JY Pook, Vice President of APAC for Tableau. “Our mission to help people see and understand data fits in well with the nation’s innovative landscape and plans for transformation in the next 50 years.”

Tableau first opened its Singapore office in 2012. The opening of its office at South Beach Development marks a culmination of successive expansions of operations across the region in recent months. In July, Tableau announced the opening of its new Japan office in the heart of Ginza, Tokyo, followed by the launch of its Shanghai office in Raffles City, Huangpu District in August. The milestone event saw more than 100 local customers and partners toast to the Company’s success in China.

APAC is a key region for Tableau; and contributing to Tableau’s increasing relevance in the region is the recognition by more organisations of the benefits of having self-reliant, data-driven strategies. An IDC study commissioned by Tableau this year found that firms which enable their employees to access and analyse data for themselves are twice as likely to outperform organisations that don’t.

When it is fully opened, Tableau’s new office will have capacity for more than 300 employees. The facility will occupy four levels in South Beach Developments, spanning 50,000 square feet in the development’s 34-storey north-facing tower on 38 Beach Road, Singapore 189767.
