Aviva Sees Strong Growth in Singapore Life Insurance

The British insurer Aviva reported late March that they had seen strong growth in its Singapore operations, led by life insurance. The value of new business (VNB) for life insurance expanded by 53 per cent year –on year to S$126 million, Channel News Asia reports.

This marked the fourth consecutive year of VNB growth for Aviva.

Aviva’s general insurance business in Singapore, measured by gross written premiums, grew 5 per cent last year, whilst sales from Navigator, the British insurer’s unit trust platform, was up 27 per cent.
